PlantHaven's Fees

The over-riding principle of PlantHaven's fee structure is that PlantHaven does not get paid until the breeder gets paid.

After that, PlantHaven receives a commission on the breeder's royalty, which is always discussed and agreed in advance. For example, the breeder may feel that it is reasonable to allow PlantHaven to retain 33% for PlantHaven's investment in bringing a variety successfully and profitably to market nationwide.

A lower rate of commission will usually apply when a single licensee is selected for an introductory period of exclusivity.
