Carex 'Rekohu Sunrise'
From New Zealand, this tender Carex is the first variegated form of this species. Wide green leaves have a striking, creamy gold, banded variegation. A glaucous bloom develops on the underside of the foliage. The arching leaves give it a weeping look that is unsurpassed trailing over rocks, walls or the edge of a container. The plant grows upright to 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide, takes sun or partial shade, is short, stout and sturdy. Best new Perennial Grass award-winner at the 2008 Farwest Show.
