Ceanothus El Dorado (‘Perado’) Beautiful lime-yellow variegation provides a striking contrast to the clusters of tiny, medium blue flowers of Ceanothus El Dorado. El Dorado is an evergreen shrub with increased vigor over other variegated varieties. Foliage does not burn in the heat. The upright form makes a high profile specimen against dark walls, as screen or single dramatic specimen. El Dorado insists on rapid drainage, is not particular about fertility, and is best protected from hot afternoon sun as in its natural canyon habitat. El Dorado grows slowly to 8 feet tall and wide at maturity. Due to its size and upright form, this is a favorite species for hedges, screens and for espalier. Drought-resistant.
