Crocosmia 'Miss Scarlet' Crocosmia 'Miss Scarlet' is like her siblings from breeder David Tristram. She is free flowering with up-right/front facing blooms leading to good presentation of scarlet red flowers. Also for better floral impact the inter-bud length is shorter. As is the case with most Crocosmia, 'Miss Scarlet' does not overcrowd itself and therefore does not stop flower due to overcrowding. Flowers are also smaller and bloom on shorter stem length than counterpart Walberton Yellow. This plant was forced in a greenhouse and would be shorter outside. Uses of 'Miss Scarlet' include garden or container specimen, accent plant, and as a cut flower. Origin: United Kingdom Description / Plant Notes: Patent Status: Patent Rights Asserted |
