Key Features

Cercis 'Ruby Falls’ is a highly attractive weeping form of Cercis canadensis with purple leaves. It is the first weeping purple redbud ever developed. The rich, purple, heart-shaped leaves open bright ruby-purple in spring, then gradually mature to deep purple, and ultimately change to green as the season progresses. 'Ruby Falls' blooms profusely in early spring when clusters of tiny hot pink rose-purple, pea-like flowers appear. 'Ruby Falls' demonstrates excellent branching and will eventually reach 6 feet high and 4 feet wide. It is an excellent small tree for lawns, woodland gardens or naturalized areas. Minimal pruning is required. A perfect garden specimen and great for mixed landscape plantings.
