PlantHaven is committed to trials. Early May is when the trials process in really starting to look interesting here in California. A number of the newer experimentals are starting to bloom. At the moment the patio container trials are looking really great. Check out the picture of Phormium ‘Blondie’ in its tall cylindrical terra cotta container alongside one of the luscious dark Begonia experimentals we are becoming increasingly impressed with.
In the early season with high's on the patio of 92° F here in Santa Barbara, both crops are coming through with flying colors.

Jeanette has been super busy this last month coordinating shipping both here in the USA and increasingly overseas. Thanks to everyone who has assisted with new shipping details. Jeanette is working very hard to keep our systems up to date to ensure our breeder clients precious new gems arrive to you in top condition.
May is also shaping up to be a busy month in the shipping department with lots of new experimentals becoming ready to trial. Look out for offers of deep trial coming to you this month.

New Dahlia Experimental

Rude Cosmo
We’ve already done the Classic Cosmo and this one is a variation on the theme, using tequila instead of vodka. I really don’t know why it’s “rude…" Hope the cocktail doesn’t induce this behavior!! Anyway … Enjoy….
Glass: cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 shots tequila
- Half shot orange liqueur
- 2 shots cranberry juice
- Juice of half a lime
Shake all ingredients with cracked ice. Strain and pour. Garnish with an orange twist!
