The fantastic foliage coloration of Lamium ‘Orchid Frost’ creates powerful compositions
in the garden. Silvery-white leaves with scalloped, blue-green margins are a lovely backdrop
for the delicate, orchid-pink flowers which are produced profusely in midspring and
sporadically throughout the summer.

The distinctive, two-toned effect of the leaves is unlike any other Lamium, and it simply
glows in the shade. This cultivar also appears to be much more resistant to foliar diseases
than other varieties and is also deer resistant.

Growth will be most compact in moist, well-drained soils, but it can grow in drier areas.
Lamium 'Orchid Frost' will grow best in shade, but will tolerate some afternoon sun in a moist
area. Lamium is evergreen in mild regions and herbaceous in cooler zones. In both areas,
it will benefit by a shearing in the spring to stimulate healthy, new growth.

Lamium makes an excellent, weed-smothering groundcover and is also a good mask for dying bulb foliage. Orchid Frost’s striking silvery foliage adds contrast in mixed containers. It has a trailing habit that is ideal for 4”-8” pots, combination planters, and hanging baskets.
