Uncinia 'Belinda's Find' A colorful sport of Uncinia rubra, this delightful little plant really packs a punch. This richly-hued New Zealand native features shiny, dark reddish bronze leaves with a bright cherry red variegation that illuminate the elegant arching foliage to make it ideal as a specimen on its own, or at the front of the perennial border. Its loosely tufted, upright form has a clumping habit to 12 inches tall. Like other sedges, ‘Belinda’s Find’ likes to be kept moist and prefers cool, moist conditions and is decidedly unhappy in full sun with excessive heat. Uncinia ‘Belinda’s Find’ can be used to brighten containers on the patio or terrace. Excellent massed in a low border next to a lawn or pond, in containers with blue foliaged plants, or in mixed drifts in a woodland garden.
