Cotoneaster ‘Emerald Sprite’

Cotoneaster x suecicus

Cotoneaster x suecicus ‘Emerald Sprite’ is an outstanding new variety coming out of Oregon State University.  Bred for improved fire blight resistance. Boosting deep emerald-green glossy foliage. After 3 years the plant will be loaded with dainty white flowers from spring to summer, followed by colorful orange berries in fall. Ultra-compact habit reaching 1′ x 3′. Ideal use as a boxwood alternative. Thrifty on water use once established. Has performed well at UC Davis trials under drought stress and disease inoculation.

An excellent groundcover choice for landscape developers and homeowners.
